Last December, I had blogged about creating a mock up design in SharePoint using the look book. As I was creating a site, associating it to hub site, adding URL and Header in the left-hand navigation, and footer, we noticed the body of the site became smaller in my 13′ inch screen laptop. The header takes almost like one-third of the space. It seems the same also with your left side navigation. Your working area became smaller. If you have a lot of metadata in your list or library, you need to scroll horizontally. If you have volume of data to modify in your list or library, you need to scroll vertically all the way. Your working space take a lot of clutter from your site header, hub site navigation and your left-hand navigation.

In SharePoint Roadmap Pitstop: November 219, SharePoint List – Expand View has been featured. In Roadmap ID: 57302, it is still in In Development, but the release date is on Q42019.

It’s time to #ClickOutTheClutter. You can now expand the view of your list and libraries by clicking the expand button. This will hide the site header, footer and the left-hand navigation.

If you are done managing your data, just click the expand button again to view the left-hand navigation and the site header.

Happy SharePoint!
