With the transformative technological advances, the keynote highlights the importance of focusing on people, driving growth and investing, and committing to security in building the agentic world.
Copilot is UI for AI. Every employee has a Copilot who knows them and helps them unlock creativity and enhance productivity. The Copilot is grounded with your permission and access. Copilot Studio helps create Agents. Agents help automate repetitive tasks, provide quick answers, assist with processes, and more. The Copilot Control System helps IT manage Copilot and secure your agents.
Here are the announcements and new features I’m excited about and want to learn more about in-depth, in no particular order.
Copilot Pages
Pages are multiplayer AI collaboration where you can share the canvas, collaborate, and ideate with your team. Pages are the new artifacts of AI. Features available in early 2025 are rich artifacts supporting code, interactive charts, tables, diagrams, and rich content to Pages.
Microsoft Loop is the core of Copilot Pages, which means you can share it as a loop component. 🎉
Copilot Action
Easily automate your task. As Satya says, think of it as an Outlook rule. You can create an action by filling in the information or rules you need to automate. It could be regularly summarizing your email, newsletter updates, and more. You can select an available template. This is a private preview; I can’t wait to check it!
SharePoint Agents
This is now Generally Available!! Every SharePoint site has Agents that will help you streamline workflows and enhance productivity. With just one click, you can easily create agents in your content files and folders in SharePoint. You can also customize your agents. Copy the agents to your chat, @mention them, and they feel like a chat member. Users with permission can only interact with the document that has been selected.
Copilot Studio
As announced, there are pre-built agents across Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365, including Facilitator, Project Manager, Employee Self-Service, SharePoint, Interpreter, and Dynamics 365 agents.
Agents from other companies, such as Adobe, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, and Cohere, are also available.
But every company has unique data, processes, and workflows. With Copilot Studio, your company will be able to create agents that fit your business needs.
Copilot Studio is a low-code platform for creating agents for your business needs. It can easily create agents with a few clicks. Now, Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry are connected. The Azure AI model catalog will soon be accessible in Copilot Studio.
There are a lot of changes in Copilot Studio that I want to explore more, other than creating agents but also the Azure AI models.
Azure AI Foundry
Azure AI Foundry is an AI-unified platform where you can design, customize, and manage your AI Apps and agents—integrated with Copilot Studio, Visual Studio, GitHub, and the new Azure AI Foundry SDK.

With all the announcements about Copilot, Copilot Devices, and Copilot + AI Stack, Microsoft Ignite 2024 was about empowering YOU—the people and organizations driving value and reducing waste. They are not just tools but catalysts for productivity and growth, enabling you to achieve more while focusing on what truly matters.
